Modern technology meets the old handicraft tradition in the computer lab, as artisans need to be familiar with the basic computer applications. Computer literacy represents a crucial component of any professional worker.

Establishing connections by e-mail, finding useful information in the web, keeping the financial records on

digital worksheets, and promoting the handicrafts production through the internet represent important parts of the artisan’s overall capacity. That is why computers are placed next to the handicrafts workshops.
The computer lab is a wide room equipped with six modern computers, all connected to the internet and to a local network. The lab is used to carry out weekly courses which are designed to cover the main features of the most commonly used software.

Students are encouraged to develop their creativity by learning the basics of image-editing and digital picture-taking. Also, the computer courses cover a few applications which may be useful for keeping financial records, planning budgets, and managing a small business.

It is a new dimension of craftsmanship.
